Brampton crash – A guy who was engaged in a “violent” crash that was captured on home surveillance footage earlier this week has been detained and charged, according to the Peel police department.
According to a news release issued by the police, two women suffered significant injuries as a result of the collision that took place on Tuesday at the intersection of Mountainash Road and Countryside Drive. At approximately 10:25 p.m., the local police were called to the area.
A video of the accident that was published on social media appeared to show a black Audi traveling at a fast rate of speed before colliding with a vehicle that was turning left and was occupied by two women. A bail hearing has been scheduled for the 21-year-old Brampton guy who was driving the Audi and is currently being held in custody.
According to the Criminal Code, he is facing two counts of dangerous operation causing bodily harm. These charges have been brought against him. In addition to this, he is being investigated for driving under suspension, racing a motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle without insurance, all of which are traffic violations.
“Investigators are reviewing evidence, including multiple video angles, and investigating the possibility that another vehicle may have been involved,” the police stated in the release. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have footage from a dashboard camera should contact the police as soon as possible.
