On August 15, 1947, Steven Figeland was welcomed into the world by his parents, Ingolf and Ella Figeland, who regarded him as their favorite child. The sport of baseball was his all-time favorite thing to do when he was a kid, and the town of Crystal Springs was where he spent the most of his childhood. Because Steven’s father had been nominated to the position of Town Administrator in Kuroki, the family uprooted and moved there when Steven was in the 11th grade.
After receiving his diploma, he started working for the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. He also began doing a variety of chores for the Sowa family in the fields of farming and mechanical, and he continues to do these jobs to this day. Steven was a devotee of vintage automobiles, music, golf, and the more subtle types of luxury, such as sitting in his favourite location on the porch to watch the birds. Other hobbies of Steven’s included listening to and playing golf.
He was the kind of person on whom you could always count to fix anything or help anyone, and it is with a great deal of grief that we must bid goodbye to him. He was the kind of person who could help anyone. Before Steven was born, both of his parents, Ingolf Figeland and Ella Figeland, as well as his sister, Helen Patricia Dix, had already departed away. Those who are still around to remember him include his wife Lynette Figeland, his son Cory Figeland and his wife Jo McKnight, his daughter Tenille Theaker and her husband Aaron, his granddaughter Presley Theaker, his brother Rick McLaren and his wife Lorraine, and a great number of nieces and nephews.
