Sandra Simpson Obituary Death – We mourn Sandra Simpson, our founder, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Sandra’s global effort, which continued until her death, touched countless lives. Her humanitarian activities took her to Somalia, El Salvador, Bangladesh, and India. She believed in community and child welfare throughout her life.
Sandra was thrilled to see Mohamed, a summer 2022 Families for Children India student, walk for the first time on her last day.
Sandra’s joy while watching Mohamed’s video showed her dedication to her profession. Her bravery, convictions, and life’s work will go on. Her family and Families for Children are guided by her principles. All the children and staff call Sandra “mummy” at Families for Children. Many of our donors have supported her vision since the beginning, creating a community that fosters significant change. At our recent Founder’s Day event in India, FFC children’s reunion was emotional.
Mom liked spring best. She enjoyed watching her garden grow. We want to email our mum to ask if she seen the newly germinated nasturtiums. Silence deafens us.Sandra, being Sandra, wants no bother. Our family will bury her in Pointe-Claire, Quebec—her favorite place. We won’t hold a public service, but please honor Sandra by spending time with your family.
