Milt Bradford’s birthday is April 22nd, and he was born in Lufkin, Texas, in 1950. His father, Milton Bradford, was a Baptist preacher, and his mother, Betty Hawkins Bradford, was a schoolteacher. He inherited their religious beliefs from both of his parents. Milt Bradford was the son of Betty Bradford and Milton Bradford. Milt spent the bulk of his youth in Huntington, but he also spent some of his formative years in Del Rio and McAllen, Texas, where his father served as a pastor.
Milt spent the majority of his boyhood in Huntington. When Milt was a teenager, he came to the realization that horses and cattle held a special place in his heart. As a result, he made the decision to center his life around this interest. After working with Raymond Havard in Lufkin for a number of years, Milt felt that he had gained the skills and knowledge necessary to launch his own horse auction business and was confident in his ability to do so.
