Mike Wilkes Murder-Suicide – The deaths of two people found inside an apartment in Greenville are being investigated by the police as a possible case of murder-suicide.
Greenville police officers responded to the 1209 Firetower Road, Apartment K location at the Belle Meade Apartments at approximately 1:15 p.m. on Thursday. There, they discovered two victims deceased inside the apartment.
Rani Barnes, who was 35 years old at the time of her death, and Michael Wilkes Jr., who was 39 years old, were discovered dead by the responding officers. According to the police, the two were involved in a sexual relationship.
Police say that based on evidence collected by detectives, the case is being investigated as an apparent murder-suicide pending autopsy results.
I am in disbelief! He resided in all of the locations in Greenville that I have lived in, with the exception of my current home. I had daily conversations with him. He was always willing to take my son to get his hair cut, and he never hesitated to come through for me in any and every situation!
