Letizia Tagliafierro Obituary, Death – Letizia Tagliafierro a longtime resident of New York has sadly passed away. Her entire immediate family followed in her footsteps and immigrated to the United States after she landed in the country in June 1956 and found employment as a seamstress. She arrived in America first among her family’s immigrants.

On January 27, 1963, Michele “Mike” Tagliafierro became her husband. The couple got married in 1963. Her husband of more than 54 years, Mike, passed away on October 11, 2017, making her a widow for the first time. Anna was an active member of Glasco’s St. Joseph-St. Mary of the Snow parish and a fervent Catholic. She belonged to the Catholic faith as well. Her family was the focus of all of her dedication and care. She treasured every moment she had with her family, especially the time she got to spend with her grandchildren.

She was attracted by the Catholic programs that were broadcast on EWTN, and she also enjoyed cooking, gardening, and traveling. Anna was a caring wife, mother, and grandmother who had a great influence on everyone whose life she entered. Everyone she knew and whose life she touched will be deeply saddened by her demise.

She is survived by her siblings Maria Costello and her husband Fred, Pietro DiPaola and his wife Carol, and Joseph Tagliafierro, as well as her children Michael and his wife Maureen, Maria Tagliafierro, Helena DiBella and her husband Renato, Dennis Tagliafierro and his companion Andrea Myers, Letizia Tagliafierro, Dominic Tagliafierro, and Mario Tagliafierr.

She also left behind a sizeable number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws who lived outside of the United States in Italy, Canada, and Australia. Her family was dispersed all across the world. Before she did, her sister Maria Pia Saracco, her in-laws Alberico Nardone, and Fernando Saracco all passed away.
