Ken Stadel Obituary, Death – Ken Stadel Has Sadly Passed Away. After a brief but valiant struggle with pancreatic cancer, our dearly departed Ken Stadel passed away on May 19 at home, surrounded by his family. The cause of death was pancreatic cancer. It is with great sadness that we share this news. Ken is survived by his wife Lori, who he was married to for 46 years, his sons Kris and Cody (Kate), and his grandson Declan, who was the light of his eyes.
In addition, his brother Orv (who is married to Joyce), his brother Fred (who is married to Penny), his in-laws Dave (who is married to Ruth), Linda (who is married to Dave), Vicki (who is married to Monty), Tim (who is married to Irene), Nancy (who is married to Hal), Betsy (who is married to Gerry), his extended family Ed and Helen, and a large number of acquaintances. In addition to his enthusiasm for his work at SD5, Ken had a wide variety of hobbies and activities, including playing the guitar, listening to music, reading, riding his motorcycle, and drinking beer.
In his younger years, he found great satisfaction in performing on the road with a country band, where he accumulated a wealth of anecdotes, life experiences, and friendships. The knowledge that he is in heaven with his loved ones and his best friend Randy, where they may once again play music together, provides the family with some measure of solace. Because of the compassion and care that they provided, the family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. K.
McIver, Justin, and the rest of the IH support staff. The family would like to express their gratitude to everyone for the gifts of flowers, gift baskets, and other items that have been provided; although some of the items have arrived without the sender’s identity, we thank you.
