Jon Chilingerian Obituary, Death – On May 5, 2023, CHILINGERIAN, Jon of Mashpee and Newton, passed away at home in a calm and serene manner. Chilingerian was the devoted husband of Dianne (Poonarian), who he married. He is the devoted father of Christine D. Chilingerian and her spouse, Jen DeBerardinis, as well as John A. Chilingerian. I am the cherished brother of Linda Savoy and Paul Savoy, who is her husband.
In addition to this, he leaves behind a large number of devoted nieces, nephews, relatives, and close friends. In addition to holding a tenured position at the Heller School at Brandeis University, Jon also held a position as an adjunct professor in the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine at the Tufts School of Medicine. He drove innovation at the forefront of healthcare and management with unrivaled zeal and intelligence. He will be remembered as an amazing colleague, a wonderful friend, and a mentor to a vast number of people.
Services will be held on Friday, May 12 at 12 noon at St. Stephen’s Armenian Church, located at 38 Elton Ave. in Watertown. The presence of family and friends is politely requested at this event. Immediately prior to the start of the Funeral Service, there will be a Visitation Period that takes place in the sanctuary of St. Stephen’s from 11 am to 12 pm. Saturday at 11 am, the funeral will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, located at 46 Jones Road in Falmouth.
Those who are going to attend the burial should get together first thing on Saturday morning at the cemetery. Donations can be sent in his memory to the Jon A. Chilingerian Scholarship Fund for medical leaders, the Heller School Executive MBA Program, c/o, Brandeis University, 415 South St., Waltham, Massachusetts 02453, or to St. Stephen’s Armenian church. Flowers will not be accepted in lieu of these donations.
