Heather Vandiver Obituary, Death – On May 5, 2023, at the age of 42, Heather Renee (Garrett) Vandiver passed away in her home while surrounded by her family. She was called to her heavenly home. She was born in Evansville on April 13, 1981, to parents named Dan and Marti Garrett.
After that, she tied the knot with Justin C. Vandiver of Newburgh, and the couple went on to raise three wonderful children: Addisyn Renee Vandiver, Landon Jeffrey Vandiver, and Raegan Kate Vandiver.
She attended the Christian Fellowship Church on a regular basis. Heather spent most of her 25-year professional nursing career at St. Vincent Hospital. She ran huge distances frequently and with great enthusiasm. Her paternal and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Riggs, as well as Justin’s paternal and maternal grandparents, Mr. Lewis Vandiver and Mrs. Marilyn Prados, passed away before Heather.
In addition, she is survived by her sister, Kendra (Garrett) Rorabaugh (Tom), who resides in South Carolina; her grandparents, Shannon and Shirley Garrett; her in-laws, Jeff and Nancy Vandiver; her brothers-in-law, Jason Vandiver (Angie, and nephew, Dalen); and Nathan Vandiver; as well as other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at the Christian Fellowship Church in Evansville, Indiana. Pastor Dale Beaver will preside over the service, and the interment will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery. On Thursday, the church will be open for friends and family to visit beginning at 10:00 am and continuing until the time of the service.
