David Knott Obituary, Death – David, who was 80 years old when he passed away on May 17, 2023, at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, did so in a calm manner and was surrounded by his family. His devoted wife of 47 years, Hedda Knott, passed away before him.
He is survived by his daughter Joy and her husband Elliott Bickle of Cardiff, California; his brother Robert (Bob) and his wife Lillian Knott; his brother Bill and his wife Bonnie Knott; and a large number of nieces and nephews. Hedda Knott passed away before him. His brother-in-law Heidi and her husband John Hall, his nephew Michael Hall and his wife Shannon Brand, and a large number of other relatives and friends will remember him with affection. He will be greatly missed.
David spent his whole career working as a manager for the LCBO in several locations including Wilberforce, Hagersville, and Guelph. He was a good-natured man who took pleasure in the rush that came from scoring a bargain, who relished the feeling of victory while playing cards or horseshoes, and who was a devoted follower of baseball, ice hockey, and golf.
Cremation took done as David would have wanted it, honoring his final desires. There will be a gathering in honor of the deceased at a time and location that has not yet been decided upon. Wareing Cremation Services, located at 346 Simcoe Street in Tillsonburg, have been entrusted with the responsibility of making the funeral and burial arrangements. Memorial gifts to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada are gratefully accepted and may be sent either directly or by check.
