Agnes Soukup Obituary, Death – Agnes Soukup Member of Ossian Churches & Community Has Sadly Passed Away. On May 19, 2023, at eleven in the morning, the funeral service, also known as a Mass of Christian Burial, will be held at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Spillville, Iowa. This event will be held in memory of the deceased. The funeral service will be presided over by Father Henry Huber, and the interment will take place in the cemetery adjacent to the church.
On Friday morning, visitation will begin at 9:30 am at the church and continue up to the time of the funeral. Visitation will continue until the service begins. Anges was born on a farm on April 15, 1933, which was located to the north-northwest of St. Lucas in the state of Iowa. She was the third child of Christopher and Cecillia (Kruse) Kriener, and she was born in the midst of their brood of children.
She was named after Cecillia’s maiden name. She graduated from St. Luke’s Catholic School, which was located in St. Lucas, Iowa, in 1951 and obtained her diploma from the institution. Aggie and Clarence Soukup exchanged their vows in front of family and friends on September 24th, 1952, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church. She spent the following 45 years helping to run the family farm that was situated southwest of Ridgeway, Iowa, until her husband Clarence passed away on November 22, 1997.
During that time, she was married to Clarence. She restored and reupholstered furniture for her family, friends, and people of the community over the course of more than 50 years. They were in charge of producing thousands of capons, in addition to beef cattle, hogs, laying hens, and ducks for Wapsi Produce. They were also responsible for the production of ducks.
